Now that the election is over and this country can start the path of rebuilding how do you feel about the new president? Regardless of your political affiliation do you think we are on the right path.

I'm relieved and happy that all the ads will finally stop. I think Obama will be able to help make some changes that will get America back on track.

Certainly this doesn't hold true for every action over this election, but I have been impressed with both candidates. Both seem to me as capable leaders and I would have felt reassured either way. I think that both are an improvement over the current administration in terms of leadership and judgement. Having said that, I am happy with the result of the election and look forward to the next 4 years to see what can be accomplished.

I'm looking forward to the next four years. Even though I normally lean to the right and this election was a difficult decision I expect changes from President Obama. This past eight years and especially the last two years have been difficult and regardless of party the government has let us down.

I'm not very comfortable with the outcome. I'm not sure how the budget can ever get balanced unless The President starts cutting spending, not implimenting more governemt programs. The National Debt will continue to spiral out of control. We're not back on track. We're on the same track; we just have a different horse. I think it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Boy, I sure do hope I'm wrong.

With Barack Obama as President, I am looking forward to the reinstatement of "Pay-Go" spending policies, responsible welfare reform, a safe and solvent social security overhaul, real immigration reform, greater participation from NATO and UN allies in bringing the war in Iraq to a close and taking the war in Afghanistan to the enemy, more money in my pocket at the end of the year, etc.

These things can all happen, that's why I am looking _forward_ to them. I know some won't, but this is a time for optimism and resolve. time to lay out what we want to accomplish and to go after it. I feel good.

And I think my daughter is happy about it, too: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=38743251433&ref=nf

I am glad to be an American now I was starting to worry there for a while because I am democrat not republican and we all know that bush and the rest of the republicans are the reason for the country being where it is today. Finley we have a president in office that will put his eyes on our country and not another country. We need to deal with the problems here and not over seas. And I am very proud to have an African american for president. I live in a small town with a lot of red necks in it and it don’t matter what skin color you have this is the USA and we all have the same rights and values as Americans this is land of opportunity and that showed last night when Obama won he just show us more bought this country that we can do any thing if we just put our minds and harts to it.
