Official 100 Member Cookout Event - Friday Update

Dads,

We are finally going to have this long awaited event.
The Cookout will be on September 13th, from 1pm to 4pm at Paul Rustler Park on the East side of Indianapolis. Here is directions to the park.

Depending on how many confirmed families are coming we will either be at the main shelter located at the back of the park close to the playground or at one of the various picnic tables throughout the park.
The cookout will be a pitch in so bring your favorite cookout food or homemade recipes. I know we have some future famous chefs out there. IndyDads will be supplying the meat such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and the fixins that go with it.

Please use this thread to post what item you will be bringing or any questions you have on the cookout.

Thanks

Hey Dads,

Checking to see if any new or existing members who have not confirmed yet would like to attend our first ever cookout to celebrate our success of reaching 100 members. Since we planned this cookout, we are up to 130 members and still growing. We would love everyone to come out, enjoy some good food and fellowship, and give you a chance to meet the rest of the IndyDads.

If you would like to attend please post in this thread with the amount of people attending and what item you are bringing.

We look forward to see everyone there.

Thanks
My 5 yr old daughter will be there too, but we'll only be able to stay for an hour or two. My wife is going to the Kenny Chesney concert that night and it starts at 4pm.

My daughter and I will be there as well. I'm planning to bring tortilla chips & homemade salsa and a couple of 2-liters of soda.
Dads,

Looks like the weather will play a factor in our planned cookout. The last thing I would like to do is cancel this and not get a chance to meet everyone but with the weather its hard to predict. Based off the message I sent out please post your opinion here if we should cancel or not. If the majority of the group doesn't care then I will cancel and reschedule. I have been working with Noah on a alternate event and will announce later on.

Thanks
Is there a shelter at the park? If it rains, we could have board games, etc. under the shelter. I'm hoping we don't have to reschedule as my schedule is completely full for every weekend into November.

There is a shelter at the park. Does anyone have a grill they would bring that is more portable?
Sorry, mine is far too large to bring.

Sorry crew can't make it this weekend. Sounds like a lot of fun!!! Enjoy!
Dads,

THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE

The cookout is still on. We are going to play it by ear so please check the site an hour before the cookout to see if its cancelled or not. If its raining then I will probably cancel it.

I am going to drop the family games because of lack of interest and just not that many families attending. I will be bringing some board games with me so if you have any games at home you like please bring them out. Also if anyone has a Corn-hole game they can bring please do so.

Any questions post them here. Thanks
Looks like we are up to an 80% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms for Saturday. Ugh.
What was decided as the Plan B option? Is there a low cost family friendly place indoors we could all meet?

I believe Plan B was going to be an indoor event that is scheduled for a later date.
