Has anyone seen the new batman movie yet?

Do you think it was appropriate for your kids?

I REALLY want to see it but worried it will be to much for the kids.

I actually watched the original Batman movie (with Michael Keaton) last night. I have not yet seen the new one, but just from the previews I'd say it's not appropriate for young kids.

A buddy of mine, took his 6 year old to see if. He said that if he would have known how twisted the movie was that he wouldn't have even thought of taking his son. But I am old school with just about everything. I like most original shows, and characters. :)

I saw it Friday, and it's not appropriate for your kids, Eric. Lots of killing and twistedness.

That being said, find a babysitter and go see it. It's frickin' awesome!

Ya know, I gotta say I don't get why they make a new Batman movie every few years. (Well, ok, for the money). Is it really that different than the previous Batman movies? Batman takes on the bad guys? (Man, I sound like I'm getting old, huh???). I guess we're just not big movie goers since we had kids. Before that, we'd see a movie every other week.

This is one heckuva movie, but I definitely wouldn't take anyone under 13. I made the mistake of taking my 11 y/o nephew to the first one (Batman Begins). That one was def. too intense in the theatre as well.

All that said, get a babysitter, GO TO THE IMAX SHOWING. It is bar none the best movie theatre experience I've had in years and worth the extra 4 or 5 bucks. The difference between the regular screen and the IMAX is crazy.

I still haven't seen it yet. I like Shawn's idea of seeing it a IMAX. Any dads up for a road trip to a IMAX to seeing the movie?

Just got back from seeing this movie and man was it long and dark. I'm glad I didn't even think about taking the kids. Good movie though but wow

It's one of the best movies ever (# 2 in total box office profit ever). It's way too twisted for children. I'm still thinking my favorite part was the "magic trick" by the joker when he met with the criminals around the table.
