Have any of you ever been to the Indianapolis Air Show up at Mt. Comfort? If you haven't, I highly recommend checking it out at least once--especially with your kids. My wife and I have been to the show a few times and it never disappoints.
Of course, we both love airplanes and get a lot out of seeing old and new planes doing tricks in the air. Also, the opportunity to walk right up to some of these massive vessels on the runways is just something you rarely get to experience.
As always, this year they will have some amazing civilian flights along with a variety of military demonstrations. Part of the fun for me is trying to keep track of where all the military jets go when they split off. They like to try and sneak up on the crowd and rocket overhead from behind.
If you decide to attend, I would suggest taking some folding chairs and a small cooler with water. I'm pretty sure they have food/drink vendors, but you'll definitely want a seat to sit in. Oh! and bring sunscreen.
Get more information about all the events and activities!. It really is a great day of fun for both families and airplane enthusiasts.
