So, it appears that I'm going to be getting a second job. In order for my wife to continue to stay home with the children, we are going to need a bit more inflow to keep the boats afloat! We both came to the decision since if she went to work, that would mean day-care and then we would have to be making money to cover those expenses and more, so we're moving ahead.

First step is that I've been signing up for as much overtime at work as I can reasonably handle. But when OT is not an option, I've signed up with ChaCha as one of their internet guides. They're based out of Carmel, and for those that haven't seen the bus around town, the company does web searches for people that text or call in and send them back a text message with the answer.

You are able to work when you want and I can do it from home so I'm not spending more time out of the house and driving more gas out of my car.

Here's to hope.

No problem about the information. I'm not really on the band wagon yet with them, so I don't really know how much on average you get paid, but I'm going to try it out.

I'm signed up as a "generalist/specialist". The way it works is when someone sends a text or calls ChaCha to get an answer to a question (and they mean almost any question) it goes into a hopper waiting for the next associate to pull it up. If I'm logged into the website, it will give me an alert message and I will take the question, look the answer up on the internet, and send the answer back to them in a text message.

You get $0.10 for each question that you answer unless you are able to get "Top Guide" status for the week at which point you get $0.20 per question. There are bonuses that are given out weekly and you can either sign up to get your pay monthly on the 15th to your checking account or you can sign up for their debit card.

If you want to check it out, there is some more information at the ChaCha website.

I think it is a joke I went and tryed it signed up and every thing and all it does is keep asking me for my user name and password. And does nothing. Once and a while it will take me to a page and I press contune it goes back to the log in page. Wast of my time and effert.

I Just tried to sign up as a guide, and password and user name would not go through for the learning University, Is this a scam? Seems they ask for your personal info and then you can’t get on to site. When I called cha cha for info on this, I was told to reboot. I should have checked this company out first. I got info link from a reliable site, but should have known better.

Yea, I don't think its a total scam, but after a few weeks of trying it I found that you would have to answer a question in an average time of under 2 minutes and work around 20 hours to make minimum wage at best. So this idea gets to be scrapped.
