They are impossible to say no to, aren't they. The smartest part of their marketing is that they are only available at certain times, so when the sales on, everyone is looking for their fix. I swear they put something in those cookies to cause an addiction. Add that to kids making the sales pitches for a worthwhile cause and you have guaranteed success.

The real question is, what is everyone's favorite and why? I go for the somoas. Chewy yet crunchy and something about the combination of caramel and coconut that just works.

How come the boy scouts never seem as successful? I think they need a better product choice with a lower price point than the popcorn and trail mix stuff.

Do-si-dos are my favorite. Our daughter started Girl Scouts a few months ago so she was selling them. We didn't bother going door to door. I emailed all my co-workers, friends and family. She gets some prizes and an extra patch if she sold 100 boxes. Well, without our order she was at 88, so we ended up buying 12 boxes to get her to 100. Ugh.

Based on the orders she received, the most popular is Thin Mints, followed closely by Tagalongs. Do-si-dos and Samoas were 3rd and 4th, respectively.

She had to turn in her order last week, but I believe she will be able to turn in a 2nd order sometime in February, so if you need to feed your GS Cookie addiction, send me a message and I'll jot you down for the next batch of orders. I'll confirm with the troop leader that they will be taking more orders soon.

They are doing something different this year: Operation Cookie Drop. You can donate a box of cookies to the troops at Camp Atterbury here in Indiana.

My daughter is taking more orders for the rest of this month. Send me a private message with your order. You can either pay now or when they are delievered which will be early to mid-March.

Operation Cookie Drop is still an option for those of you who would like to donate some cookies to our troops at Camp Atterbury.

Tell me about it! I told her she could buy about 10 dumdum lollipops for the same price. That got her attention.

"Lauren has been keeping a Save envelope and a Spend envelope, and she has taken it with us shopping and had to pick something that she had enough money for, so she's learning the value of a dollar, but only of her dollars, not Mommy and Daddy's dol…

Great offer, but they would have to be free with free parking and free snacks to get me to a Pacers game again. I used to go to at least 10 games per year and to all the playoffs. Since Bird arrived and they went downhill I have yet to return. Sad,…

Sorry to hear that. Luckily I never experienced this. Lauren welcomed Abby with open arms and they still get along very well to this day. Have you asked him why he is behaving the way he is?
