So I cam looking for this site after I found Indymoms.com. So they are sponsored by Indystar, why aren't we? We need some publicity, it would be great to get alot of guy on this site. There is another indy ning site, smallindiana.com, I just joined, maybe I'll make a forum post or a group to get some guys from there!

Anyway, I also was browsing the forums at indymoms and they SNOOP THIS SITE, or maybe the old version since you have to be a member to view now. That's funny!

Stephen,

Indymoms.com is owned and operated by the star. So they have a big part to play in that site getting a ton of visitors. But the indymom's site is my goal. I want to build up a big community and have events where we can all meet and network. I think that is possible and the stigma that dads do not like to communicate, even online can be changed.

But if you or anyone wants to post a link to this site on your favorite forum then please do so. The more dads the better.

Leave the site independent. We don't need someone like the Indystar telling you how to run the site.

Maybe we could rent out Ad space and/or use Google Ads for some funding.

It's realistically going to take this site a while to be anywhere near the level of IndyMoms just because of the large budget and backing by the Star that they have. But I think it could be a very good idea to put together a business plan for the site, file for a 501(c)(3) status, and work on the marketing and publicity for it. Maybe a press release announcing the launch, I'm sure, would be picked up by IBJ and the Star.

Agreed, it will take years to generate that kind of traffic and membership.

While it'll take some time, don't underestimate the power of word-of-mouth and viral marketing. If we all invite our other friends who are fathers and they do the same, we can grow rather quickly. The site was just relaunched and already there is way more activity yesterday and today. It's great to see! Keep it up!
